Susan Mandel, Ph.D.
Susan Mandel, Ph.D., has spent forty years in behavioral healthcare in California. After receiving her Ph.D. at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Mandel pursued a career in the Bay Area, serving for five years as Director of Mental Health for Alameda County, California.
Dr. Mandel has been President and CEO of Pacific Clinics, a 80-year-old private non-profit agency based in the Southern California area with headquarters in Aradia, since 1980. She oversees a variety of multilingual, multicultural programs for children, adults, older adults and the homeless at more than fifty locations in five Southern California counties. In addition to her duties at Pacific Clinics, Dr. Mandel -- a licensed psychologist -- has been a member of the statewide California Mental Health Planning Council since 1994, and served as its Chairperson during 2000. She is currently a member of the Council's Executive Committee and chairs its Human Resources Committee. |
